My Services
In Anishinaabemowin (the Anishinaabe Language) the word for medicine is Mishkiki. But when translated correctly means the strength of the Earth. I provide land-based teachings and lectures that focus on the Anishinaabe culture, language, knowledge, and science, as well as tailored tutoring services. I am absolutely fascinated with all aspects of creation, from chemistry and physics to flowers and fungi. I believe that no matter what discipline you study, be it chemistry, biology, geology, ecology etc... there is always an aspect of the strength of the Earth.
I am not a Knowledge Holder and to remain respectful and appropriate I approach any work with the lens that I am a student on my journey learning the Anishinaabe culture. Any knowledge I do share is with the utmost respect and the understanding we are all learning together.
Land-Based Walks
I have led land-based walks for both academic and non-academic audiences. During these walks, I share the teachings and philosophies of the Annishnabe people.
Lectures
I have lead lectures at the University of Guelph for several different classes and I structure my lectures depending on what is required by my client.
