Mtigwaaki Trail
The following Interpretive sign series was developed for the University of Guelph Arboretum. The signs tell the story of Mitigwaaki which in Anishinaabemowin means 'forest'. But when translated correctly means to be 'among the trees'. The sign series is meant to be universal, it doesn't matter the time in your life, your ethnicity, or your academic background. The signs speak to someone on every level. They call you to act on how you see a forest and how you can better treat Shkakmigkwi ‘Mother Earth’. The following sign seris was designed by myself using adobe suit products. The signs are permently posted within Victoria Woods at the Univeristy of Guelph Arboretum.
